CES: The Follow-Up
Let me start off by saying: We had an amazing time at CES.
We met so many great people and saw a ton of cool stuff. Nevermind that it was in Vegas, so there was always lots to look at.
Now, being in a startup, you never expect to be staying in the Penthouse suite at the Bellagio or Caesar’s Palace. Even if you did, I think it wouldn’t be half as much fun as actually being able to look out the window at night and see the non-stop activity going on out front of the crazy hotels. During CES, there’s way more going on than normal.
Let me say up-front, that I’m really sorry I never made the trek over to the 24×7 Bloghaus that Podtech.net had running. When I get back to Vegas next year, one of the first things I’ll be doing is ringing Scoble on his cell to get my name on that list.
OK, so what went down? Well, like I said, we met a bunch of great people. A lot of really dedicated fans of the Mixer, in addition to those that had never heard of us, or knew what we are up to. It’s always a lot of fun to see the look on someone’s face when you describe acoustic recommendations to them for the first time - and they get it.
We also had a number of announcements that were made last week as well. One of the most notable being our update to MusicDNS, which Wendell has posted about previously. In addition to that, we updated the tag fixing servers to leverage MusicDNS 1.1, and formally introduced Acoustic Discovery to the World.
One of the major things we are working on product wise is making sure that we pay attention to our entire line. It is a tough balancing act sometimes between roadmaps, coding, documentation, building a support / services structure, solid communication, and really learning a lot of as a company as we proceed.
It was really amazing to see how excited folks get when they connected with our offering. It was an amazing experience, and I am looking forward to another full week of booth duty in ‘08!
